Trinity tower and museum of religious art
05.06.2016After visiting<a href="http://travelforfun great site.org/?p=1152″> the castle in Lublin, it’s very convenient to pass a bridge and go into the old city. Fortunately, it’s small, but has a lot of to see. As usual, we don’t use any travel guides. Instead, we use geocaching. This time we also decided not to walk just for fun but find a nearest geocache “207 stairs”. It is situated inside the place named Trinity Tower.
To enter into the tower from the side of the old city, you mast pass an arch. The entrance is from the Archcathedral’s side. Admission is free.
Despite the modern facade, inside the tower everything is old. A spiral staircase is so narrow that two people can’t pass. If two groups meet each other, one of them should go back to a nearest platform to allow another group to pass by.
Inside the tower there are many pieces of religious art – icons, statues of saint people and so on. They are situated inside the special holes along stairs and on tower’s floors.
After reaching the top level, you can go out to an observation deck. There you can enjoy beautiful views of the city.
From the opposite side you can see the top part of Archcathedral.
As for me, view from the Trinity Tower is better than from the tower of Lublin Castle. But you should definitely visit both places.
